Kathrin is almost 40 and the mother of two teenagers. Since breaking up with her ex, who wants to sneak back into the family, the journalist has been in a relationship with the much younger Luca. Local B&B Sunflower owner Polly Cameron, although charmed by Locking, mounts the opposition. She finds a delightful ally in young Patrick Field, who turns out to be David's father, tragically estranged after a fatal accident.
